The Paris Gibson Square Education Department teaches a wide variety of classes and workshops for youth from pre-K through 12th Grade. There are also many classes and workshops available to adults as well!

Through a variety of grants, contracts, and other sponsored funding, the department is able to support a diverse range of educational programming for individuals of varying demographics.

    About

    The Square instructors have a variety of teaching backgrounds and experience. Classes are taught for all ages and abilities in the mediums of drawing, painting, ceramics, sculpture, textiles, printmaking, and more!

  • Studio Arts Education

    Quarterly programming for youth and adults. This includes classes, workshops, and summer camps in drawing, painting, textiles, sculpture, ceramics, jewelry, and more! Winter session starts in January, Spring session starts in April, Summer session starts in June, Fall session starts in October.

  • Veteran Arts Program

    Bi-weekly free art program for veterans, every other Wednesday evening, exploring a variety of mediums and techniques.

  • Curative Art Collective

    Art program that fosters a positive, safe environment for teens ages 15 to 18 to work with professional artists and develop their body of work.

  • Senior Art Class

    FREE to all artists ages 55+. Every Tuesday from 1pm - 3pm in Room 10. Instructors and projects rotate throughout the year. This program is funded in part by the Montana Arts Council, an agency of the State Government, and by the National Endowment for the Arts.

  • Scholarships

    The Square offers quarterly scholarships through the generous support of the Roberta Cooney Memorial Fund. Applications can be downloaded, sent digitally, or picked up in the museum Gift Shop.

  • Textile Tuesday

Should you not be interested in serving as a tour guide, there are opportunities to volunteer under the following categories:

Volunteer

The primary function of a Docent at The Square is to serve as a tour guide for current museum exhibits. Many docents get to work with Great Falls Public School 3rd grade students as visits to The Square serve a portion of their curriculum. Additionally there are opportunities to work with early childhood, middle and high school students, special needs groups, and adults.
