2019 Art Auction
Applications are due Wednesday May 15, 2019, by 5pm.
The Paris Gibson Square Museum of Art announces an open call for artist submissions for our annual art auction. The auction is a premiere social event in north central Montana. This event connects art collectors with the region’s finest artists, set against the backdrop of lively music, good food and drink. Proceeds from the event support the museum’s exhibitions and related educational programs.
When submitting, please indicate either a 50/50 artist split or a full donation on the submission form. Juried artists who choose a full donation will receive one complimentary ticket to the event and may purchase an additional ticket at cost. All other juried artists may purchase two tickets at cost. The Square reserves the right to place art work in either the live or silent auction. Selected artists for this year’s auction and exhibition will be sent an auction contract, which must be signed and returned to the museum with the artwork no later than 5pm on Monday, July 1, 2019.
To complement the 22nd Annual Art Auction, an exhibition of all art auction selections will be presented in three of the Square’s main floor exhibition galleries. Exhibition dates are August 1—September 14, 2019. A special opening reception for featured artists will be announced at a later date. Artists 18 and younger must have parental consent to participate in the auction. Please feel free to pass along submission information to other artists.
